Samantha Beynon, a resident of Kxeen Island (Prince Rupert), lives on her ancestral land belonging to the Ts'msyen people. Her diverse heritage includes Nisga’a, Ts’msyen, and European roots. Maternally, she comes from Wilps Axdii Wil Luugooda, The House that is Always Full in the Nass Valley, and she comes from the Ganhada frog clan with maternal roots in Gingolx.
Samantha is a passionate writer and educator. She is also a loving mother, wife and teacher in the SD52 school district. Samantha is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership at Vancouver Island University where she's driven by a commitment to continuous learning and community involvement. Inspired by her great-grandfathers, William Beynon and Chief Clah, who were both writers and learners, Samantha aims to make a positive impact on her community through her work and love for education.
