Betty Keller
Betty Keller has a long and distinguished history as a teacher, writer, editor and mentor of Coastal writers. She has authored or co-authored 18 books, including Pauline: A Biography of Pauline Johnson (Douglas & McIntyre, 1981), A Thoroughly Wicked Woman (Caitlin Press, 2010) and A Stain Upon the Sea: West Coast Salmon Farming (2004). She is a founder of the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts. Among her awards are the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal, the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence, and the George Woodcock Lifetime Achievement Award. She is a member of the Quintessential Writers, a group of writers who support and mentor other writers. She lives in Sechelt, BC.
