The Alberta Mycological Society
The Alberta Mycological Society is a non-profit organization that was founded by Prof. Randy Currah and Helene (Leni) Schalkwijk-Barendsen in 1987. The AMS focuses on the study of the diversity and roles of fungi through formal and citizen science alike, providing educational programs to the public, hosting forays, holding annual mushroom expositions and sharing the wonderful world of fungi across the province.
