Robert D. Turner
Robert D. Turner has been researching, photographing and writing about transportation history for over fifty years. His work has been recognized with numerous honours, including the Canadian Railroad Historical Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award. A curator emeritus at the Royal BC Museum, retired heritage consultant and fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, Turner received an honorary doctorate degree from Simon Fraser University in 2022. This is his twentieth book. He lives near Nanaimo, BC.
