Dr. Twigg

Congratulations to Harbour author Dr. Alan Twigg, on the recent award of Doctor of Letters, honoris causa from SFU. Twigg received the honour as "a champion of our province’s literary world" for "an immense contribution to the promotion of B.C. literature and authors."

Twigg launched  BC BookWorld in 1987—followed later by the online companion publications BC BookLook and ABC BookWorld. Dr. Twigg has also created or co-created most of the province’s major literary awards, such as the BC Book Prizes and the George Woodcock Lifetime Achievement Award. In his spare time, he has written 20 books, including several with Harbour Publishing.
