Rafe Mair

author image Rafe Mair (1931-2017) was a dominant voice in the arena of Canadian broadcasting and print journalism for a quarter of a century. He won the 1994 Michener Media Award for public benefit and the Hutchison Award for Lifetime Achievement in BC Journalism. He was also inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Hall of Fame in 2005. His other books not published by Harbour Publishing include The Last Cast; Canada: Is Anyone Listening?; Rants, Raves and Recollections and Still Ranting. Rafe also wrote columns for The Tyee and was a principal contributor to The Common Sense Canadian, a news and opinion site with a British Columbia focus.
